With the high ceiling, art by locals on the walls, and reliable espresso and cappuccino, Cafe Metropol is a casually elegant spot in the grungy Artist's District.

The food is not as notable as the general ambiance and friendly service. Soups and salads are basic, but the coffee's some of the best in the area.
