L.A.’s reigning mod-chic pâtissier expands, and so, too, our waistlines

With the opening of a dream pâtisserie/viennoiserie/confiserie/icecafé (et al) a few doors down from its original jewelbox home, L.A. gets not one but two sweet servings of Michelle Myers’s famed Boule: the Atelier and the former location, now moved and tucked away in Beverly Hills. If the crème fraiche sorbet, edible-gold-topped chocos and choux-piped éclairs weren’t enough to grab you, try this revelation: bacon bread. It might not be sweet, but we challenge this pig-infusion to a duel with those piggy-flecked rolls at Joël Robuchon. They’re that good.
