Whether you need to fortify yourself for a night out dancing in Weho with a pre-club drink, or just to grab a little snack to keep the evening going, Saint Felix on the corner of Santa Monica and Robertson is a convenient little spot right in the heart of Boys’ Town.

The food and drink might not be complicated or innovative, but if you’re looking for good, simple fare, Felix definitely delivers.

Try the Moroccan chicken cups with chunks of fresh-grilled chicken over aromatic couscous in lettuce points. The sweet potato fries are dense and satisfying, and come with a choice of dipping sauces like roasted red pepper coulis, chipotle aioli, and coconut ranch.

If you’ve already been out for a while, soak up the alcohol with a trio of Kobe sliders on brioche buns with smoked bacon, blue cheese and grilled onions.

On the lighter side, there’s the spicy Ahi salad of seared slices of tuna over a sesame salad with marinated cucumber, cantaloupe, crispy wontons and wasabi cream.

There are also Cubano tacos with braised pork, pickled pepper relish (that’s right, Peter Piper), avocado cream and gouda cheese and shredded cabbage.

The wine list is small but very decent and affordable. If you’re smart, though, go for one of the signature cocktails like the Felix Sangria, a Mint Julep, or a Pear Manhattan.

Don’t get the wrong idea, not everything is fancy. You can also relive your trailer-park days with an ice-cold 40-oz. Colt 45 at the bar. Tables outside on the sidewalk are the best ogle the weekend crowds, but be sure to check out the bordello-appropriate plush wallpaper and light fixtures on the way to the restroom.

Felix is sure to be a hit with the gay crowd, but heteros will find something to enjoy as well on their way to the boutiques on Robertson, or when they hit up the nearby Troubadour for a show.
