Lucky DevilsBurgers so decadent we wanted to use a (pitch)fork ![]() The frugal angel on one shoulder told us to avoid the half-pound $16.95 Kobe bacon blue burger. But the horned fellow on the other shoulder kicked his righteous ass. Yum.The prices are awfully high (and the lighting awfully bright) for a 2:30am burger run, but the freshness of the ingredients and the goodwill of the owner do make for a satisfying visit. Former Diet Coke hunk Lucky Vanous is concerned with fresh, organic ingredients and prompt delivery. When our table's orders came out with merely reasonable portions of fries, our waitress assured us a whole lot more were en route: Vanous, we were told, wanted to be sure that everything was delivered at prime temperature. (Both phases of fries, by the way, somehow stayed crispy long after they'd cooled, and long after all stomachs had supposedly filled.) Pecan shakes, chili cheese dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches share the menu with salads (we recommend the pineapple balsamic dressing), cupcakes, wine and 24 microbrews, 13 of which are on tap. The small, diner-ish space has flat-screen TVs, white walls, a glass facade and one huge mural involving some kind of Mars/meteor/red-and-orange something, with a tourist-friendly display cutout selling Lucky Devils T-shirts. (Hey, this is Hollywood.) And yes, Diet Coke is for sale. —Lonny Pugh
