The onion-enhanced stewed collard greens instantly transport us to the American South, the fried chicken is crispy and juicy, and the eggy waffles are springy and tasty. (We always order them on the well-done side, as they can sometimes come a little undercooked.) There are several branches of Roscoe's in greater LA, but this one has the best roll-up-your-sleeves-and-dig-in-without-shame vibe.
