An underground sensation—both in terms of its instant word-of-mouth success and its literally underground location in the Rodeo Collection—this certified kosher steakhouse, sushi restaurant and lounge caters to Industry elite and family celebrations alike.

A sister outpost to the popular Manhattan spot of the same name catering to Trumps and Bloombergs, The Beverly Hills Prime Grill is accessed via a spiral descending staircase from the Collection's street-level entrance. In the first month, regulars weren't just assisting each other in birthday sing-alongs, they were warmly greeting each other from adjoining tables. Broken into an open-air patio, lively lounge, main dining room and two private spaces, the restaurant is filled with stately whites, regal creams, pale purple curtains and amber lanterns. Highlights of the menu include the golden hearts of palm salad, the sashimi from Tokyo-born chef Makoto Kameyama (formerly Executive Sushi Chef at the NYC location), the signature filet, and the truly tasty desserts, especially the triple chocolate espresso cake with housemade coffee ice cream. The wine isn't just kosher; it's mevushal, which means it's flash-boiled to retain its purity. Several are available by the glass. —Lonny Pugh
