Saddleback Cellars Winemaker Dinner at Larchmont Grill, Sunday, October 25
Spend your Sunday night at the Larchmont Grill with renowned winemaker Nils Venge (and self-styled "King of Cab") of Saddleback Cellars, who will be pairing his wines with a special five-course dinner from Chef Adolfo Francisco. Call ahead for reservations since seating at the $75 per person dinner is limited. No wonder, with dishes like lobster bisque, duck confit spinach salad, honey-mint seared lamb chop, and caramel chocolate soufflé cake. Cheers to that.

Halloween Cocktails at Beachcomber
We try to stretch our trick-or-treating out as long as possible during the witching season, so that's why we want to head to Malibu for the special, spooky $9 cocktails at Beachcomber available now through the end of October, like the flaming Witches' Cauldron with Bacardi 151, banana rum, orange, pineapple and mango served in an actual black mini-cauldron, or the Cat's Eye of lemon-infused vodka, apple puckers and lemonade. There's also a Zombie, a Frisky Witch, and a Black Magic made with Godiva Dark Chocolate liqueur. Boo!

Wine Finds New Domaine on Melrose
Though domaineLA has been parked on the internet for a couple years now, owner Jill Bernheimer is opening a physical location on Melrose-perfect for BYOB-ing to nearby restaurants like Mozza and the new Hatfield's. With a philosophy of "more wine. less attitude," the store will sell over 450. Our favorite feature? A "living room" where guests can flip through wine books and browse over 100 wine-related sites at a computer kiosk.

Anniversary Dinner at Bazaar, November
Chef José Andres is marking his restaurant's one-year anniversary with a special $100 per person menu of six "waves" of dishes that highlight the variety of Rojo y Blanca's cuisine. Dishes will include Spanish classics croquetas, jamon iberrico, piquillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese; but also more modern flavors like Andres's famous cotton candy foie gras, and watermelon-tomato skewers. The meal includes four Spanish wine pairings to mix and match throughout the meal. The special will be available throughout November.
