Seventh Anniversary Menu at Sona
Available Tuesday-Thursday evenings throughout the month of November, guests at David Myer's culinary landmark can enjoy a seven-course menu for $77 (we know, not the most recessionary prices, but compared to the usual menu tabs at Sona, this is a downright steal worthy of Madoff). The dishes include Tahitian squash soup with chai foam, anago (saltwater eel), and pearl tapioca; Maine lobster risotto with shellfish emulsion and kaffir lime leaf; roasted duck with wasabi, eggplant puree and celery root-shiso salad; and for dessert, baba pastry with quince, pear, grains of paradise sabayon; and chocolate beignets with pumpkin confit and cinnamon ice cream. Wonder what he's going to do for anniversary number eight.
