The new location is the chain's third and largest: a 4,000-square-foot interior dining area with acid-stained concrete floors and skylights, as well as a sunny 1,200-square-foot outdoor patio. The restaurant's sustainability initiatives include using locally grown produce, humanely raised meats, the Ever Pure water filtration system, and a state-of-the-art energy management system. Taglyan Complex | St. Patty's Fest | Sunday, March 14
Sunday might not be St. Patrick's Day, but that doesn't mean you can't drink it up at Los Angeles's St. Patty's Fest at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood. The festivities will be rather tame, only running from 2:00-7:00pm, but in that time, partiers will have the opportunity to try beers and wines from over 37 breweries and 20 wineries, not to mention 10 vodka distilleries, and a host of tequilas, gins, and Irish whiskey of course. There will also be Irish music, dancing, and a battle of the chefs. Tickets cost a whopping $150 at the door ($100 ahead of time online here: http://www.stpattysfest.com/buy.html) , but are a donation t the Children's Tumor Foundation, so at least you'll be drinking for good.

Patina Restaurant Group Opens Market Café | AT&T Center
Are you downtown and in the mood for a gourmet lunch, but don't have time to sit down and enjoy it? Try the Patina Restaurant Group's new Market Café at the AT&T Center near L.A. Live (in what we now hear is known as the South Park district of downtown). Chefs Alec Lestr and Gregg Wiele have assembled a menu of freshly prepared, seasonal, organic, eclectic breakfast and lunch treats, as well as a pastry menu packed with desserts like cupcakes, cookies and parfaits made by Chef Alain Vernault. There are grab-and-go packaged sandwiches and salads, a self-serve salad bar, daily special entrees, and heartier fare like a Jojo Burrito (named after Joachim Splichal) with scrambled eggs, cherry wood smoked bacon, salsa roja, herb-roasted potatoes and cheddar in a sun-dried tomato tortilla; buttermilk fried chicken with maple-bacon country gravy; lemongrass banh mi sandwiches; and a Cuban panini. Best of all, nothing costs over $10, and the café uses eco-friendly biodegradable packaging materials, utensils and flatware.

Veggie Grill | Now Serving Beer and Wine
The popular plant-based comfort food café in West Hollywood announced the start of beer and wine service last weekend. Veggie Grill has partnered with MÁS Wine Company to be the exclusive purveyor of red and white wines at The Veggie Grill, though guests can also order beers made by the New Belgium Brewing Company, which uses wind-powered electricity, and is known for green and sustainable initiatives. What's so great about MAS? Instead of using bottles, they use environmentally friendly, air-tight stainless steel mini tanks that store wine the same way it is kept in a winery. That means no packaging waste, or danger of oxidation for you wino's out there. The white wine is Chardonnay, and the red is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Syrah. Even better, they're only $6.50 by the glass, or $15 by the carafe. The beers will include New Belgium's first organically produced brew, Mothership Wit, as well as Fat Tire, for just $3.50 a bottle. Here's to the environment!
