11th Annual Method Fest Awards Announced

Filmmakers, writers, directors and actors (and sponsors, for sure) celebrated the conclusion of the 11th Annual Method Fest film festival in Calabasas. (Karen Farrah Oswald)

Stella Schnabel won the Time Warner Cable Geraldine Page Award for Best Actress in a feature film for her performance in "You Won't Miss Me." Patton Oswalt took home the City of Calabasas John Garfield Award for Best Actor for his role in "Big Fan," as the 11th annual The Method Fest independent film festival announced its winners at the Awards Ceremony, Thursday night at Founder's Hall at the Calabasas Civic Center.

The Method Fest is the only film festival in the world that focuses on the acting school called "method." It also boasts past winners that have gone on to be nominated for Academy Awards, as well as promoting films into distribution deals.
