Johnny Depp (Madonna?) as The Mad Hatter
It's already well-known that the master of goth-tinged fairy tales Tim Burton has been busying his whimsical fingers adapting Lewis Carrol's classic 'Alice In Wonderland' to the big, live action screen. And USA Today just release some concept photos of Burton's vision that are sure to send his fans into a tizzy. We're speaking for ourselves here too.

Check out pics of the characters in full makeup, like Burton favs Johnny Depp (who looks frighteningly like Madonna) as the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. Plus, stills of what lies beyond the rabbit hole.

FYI, newcomer Mia Wasikowska is playing the title role and Alan Rickman is the moody caterpillar.

The film is due out in March of next year.
