Another documentary broadside against the war in Iraq, this time centered on Tomas Young, a 24-year-old Army enlistee left paralyzed from the chest down five days after arriving in Iraq.

   When he signed up in the aftermath of 9/11, Young thought he was going to Afghanistan to battle al-Qaida. He's now ravaged physically and psychologically, feeling betrayed by what he considers an irresponsible war.

   Directors Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro follow Young as he speaks to the Senate and goes about his daily life, helped immensely by his loving mother, Cathy. She's one of many grieving mothers in the movie, a human face on a war that the vast majority of Americans don't have any tangible connection to, other than its bankrupting nature.
