The SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL paid tribute to this year's Festival Honoree, The Doors on August 16th 2012, at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. THE DOORS at the Hollywood House of Blues.

One of the most influential rock groups of all time, the Doors, late singer JIM MORRISON organist RAY MANZAREK, guitarist ROBBY KRIEGER, drummer JOHN DENSMORE. formed in the mid-60's in Venice,Ca and got their start on the Sunset strip .

Manzerek referred to the Strip, as "The Axis Mundi", the center of the universe at last nights tribute show.
