How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets for all shows at The Roxy can be purchased through Ticketweb. You call also purchase tickets through the box office, located at the front of the theater, 15 minutes prior to the start of the show. Keep in mind that if you're under the age of 21, you'll need to purchase a food and beverage coupon for $3 on the night of the show. How do I get there by public transportation?
Like all the other music venues located on the Sunset Strip, The Roxy is accessible by public transportation. The easiest option is to take Metro Bus Lines #2 and 217. Both lines will take you right in front of The Roxy, and stop every 15 to 30 minutes. For a quicker ride, take Metro Rapid Line #780. It stops every 15 minutes. How do I get there by car?
Those coming from West Hollywood or Hollywood will just need to head west on Sunset Boulevard.
If you're coming from South Bay and the beach cities, take the 405 North and get off at Exit 55A toward Santa Monica Boulevard. Turn right onto Santa Monica Boulevard and drive for about four miles until you reach North Doheny Drive. Turn left on North Doheny Drive, drive for a little over a half a mile, and then make another right when you hit Sunset Boulevard. The Roxy will be on your left.
Those traveling from Pasadena need to take the 110 South to the 101 North, then get off at Exit 8A for Sunset Boulevard. Turn right on Sunset and drive for about four and a half miles. The Roxy will be on your right.
If you're coming from the San Fernando Valley, take the 101 South and get off at the Highland Avenue Exit. Continue onto Highland, and then make a right at Sunset Boulevard. Drive for three miles and The Roxy will be on your right.
Those coming from Orange County should take the 5 North to the 101 North. From there you'll want to get off at the Sunset Boulevard Exit and make a right. Drive for four and a half miles and The Roxy will be on your right.
What's the parking like if I drive?
The Roxy does have a parking lot located behind the club. However, spots are limited so your best bet is to park at any one of the lots in the area, including a spacious lot located right across the street at 9000 Sunset Blvd. If you do park there, it should cost no more than $5 to $10 for the night. What's the seating situation like?
The Roxy is a general admission club, so be ready to stand if you plan on seeing a show there. There is, however, an upstairs club called On the Rox that's entirely separate from the main venue. On the Rox has it's own entrance, as well as a full service bar and stage. This is the same club that hosted some of the craziest parties in Hollywood back in the 70s and 80s. In fact, legend has it that comedian John Belushi was partying there on the night of his fatal overdose at the Chateau Marmont, located just a few blocks away.
Are there any good places to eat around there?
It's no secret that dozens of great restaurants are located on the Sunset Strip. Here are just a few that are close to The Roxy.
