Due to overwhelming demand, the Annenberg Space for Photography is pleased to announce three days of extended gallery hours for its current exhibit -WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL. Beginning Thursday, October 18, 2012, the Photography Space will begin the final countdown to the end of the show's run in the United States. This will be the last chance for the city to come see this free, popular show. To give visitors more opportunities to see the show, the exhibit will be available forviewing for nearly 50 hours through Sunday of the closing weekend.


WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL is a group show featuring the work of over 100 photographers. An original short documentary

film includes interviews with photographers Ed Colver, Henry Diltz, Jill Furmanovsky, Lynn Goldsmith, Bob Gruen, Norman Seeff, Mark Seliger and Guy Webster; and recording artists Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins, Noel Gallagher and Debbie Harry. Originally shown and created by the Brooklyn Museum with guest curator and author Gail Buckland, WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL is the first major museum exhibit on rock and roll to spotlight the creative and collaborative role that photographers played in the history of rock music.


Special giveaways will be given to a few members of the public during the extended evening hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the final weekend.


The extended hours for the Photography Space during the final weekend are:
Thursday, October 18, 10am-10pm
Friday, October 19, 10am-Midnight
Saturday, October 20, 10am -Midnight
Sunday, October 21, 11am-6pm

The exhibit features 166 prints from iconic photographers such as Amy Arbus, Diane Arbus, Roberta Bayley, Danny Clinch, Anton Corbijn, Godlis, Jean-Paul Goude, Dennis Hopper, Richard Kern, David LaChapelle, Michael Lavine, Annie Leibovitz, Gered Mankowitz, Jim Marshall, Linda McCartney, Ryan McGinley, Marcia
