Get ready for first-ever “VaVoom…A Rock ‘N Roll Circus,” a unique collaborative show by DAVE STEWART and the colorful characters from Lucha VaVoom including Rita D'Albert, co-founder of the famed Los Angeles troupe. The outrageousness all happens Friday, March 14 at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Doors open at 7PM and show starts at 8PM. Tickets are on sale now; more information can be found here: http://goldenvoice.com/shows/details/?id=245809.

Expect a truly unforgettable night of “Mayhem!...Music!...Thrills!” plus surprise guests, as is customary for the raucous Los Angeles shows by the esteemed singer/songwriter/guitarist and Eurythmics co-founder who's also known as ”The Ringmaster.” (Past surprise artists at Stewart shows have included the likes of John Mayer, Marilyn Manson and Joss Stone.) Music and theatrics—with saucy burlesque and dazzling circus elements—will come together in unpredictable, surreal ways as characters from Lucha VaVoom will be fully integrated into the songs, a mix of recent Stewart compositions and Eurythmics classics.

Says Dave Stewart:  “When we perform a song like ‘Drugs Taught Me A Lesson' [from his current album Lucky Numbers] or ‘Here Comes The Rain Again [by the Eurythmics], there will be theatrical twists and turns, with an emphasis on keeping things very psychedelic.  The goal is to turn everything on its head—and with Rita and her conspirators in Lucha VaVoom, anything becomes possible.”

"Lucha VaVOOM is thrilled to work with Dave,” says Rita D'Albert. “We're fans--we love his music and his vision. We can't wait to show the world something new, exciting and electric, as well as harken back to the best of rock n' roll theatrics that inspired us in the first place!"

The March 14 show marks the new date for the event (originally set for January 30) to accommodate preparations for STEWART's performance with Eurythmics partner Annie Lennox on “The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles” (which was taped in late January and aired February 9). All tickets purchased for the January 30 date will be honored for the new date or refunds are available at point of purchase.
