4/11 – MOTÖRHEAD @ NOKIA LIVE – W OLYMPIC BLVD

MOTÖRHEAD is undeniably the biggest and baddest rock n' roll band of all time. MOTÖRHEAD's 2013 full-length release, Aftershock, is one of the band's best-selling and highest-charting albums in the past 20 years, debuting at #22 on the Billboard Top 200. Like the juggernaut you prayed would keep on crushing you, like the friend that still royally pisses off your parents and like a loyal standard of crunchy, greasy, punky, bluesy, gutsy screw-you rock'n'roll, MOTÖRHEAD stride out through their 38th year brandishing more swagger and attitude then your ears could begin to comprehend. Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee continue to show clearly that MOTÖRHEAD is not simply a band, it's a genre!

4/16 – SALIVA  @ THE WHISKEY A GO GO – 8901 WEST SUNSET BLVD

*NEW ALBUM: Rise Up, out April 29, 2014 via Rum Bum

Saliva will play the fans old favorites as well as numerous new songs from “Rise Up”! Saliva has a new singer Bobby Amaru who has mellifluously replaced original singer Josey Scott after his exit in 2012.  Bobby has joined up with longtime members Wayne Swinny (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Dave Novotny (bass, backing vocals), and Paul Crosby (drums). Together, the new line-up has delivered an album that manages to push the band's sound into new areas, as well as retain the group's trademark elements – including Saliva's signature anthemic choruses and crushing riffs. If you are a longtime Saliva fan, you are sure to be extremely pleased with the full-length 'Rise Up' - a bold record full of big hooks, swagger and plenty of guitars. And, outside of the ballad "Lost," it's first and foremost a rock record. These are songs that kick hard, from the immediacy of the aforementioned "Rise Up," to the slow build of "Choke," and the rollickin' "Redneck Freakshow," a song the band seems particularly proud of.

5/6 – NILE @ HOUSE OF BLUES – 8430 SUNSET BLVD

*ALBUM OUT NOW: At The Gate Of Sethu via Nuclear Blast Entertainment

NILE's unique sound began based on a potent combination of historical Egyptian culture and lore references, with the ferocity of modern death metal. Using a symphonic approach to song writing and arrangement, NILE unleashes an uncompromising attack that fuses technical death metal with organic Middle Eastern tones. NILE's unique lyrical bias is inspired by Karl Sander's (guitarist/vocalist) interpretation of ancient Egyptian inscriptions, temple carvings, papyri, hieroglyphics and tomb paintings depicting ancient battles, rituals and religious ceremonies. NILE will guide you down into the depths of their ominous catacombs to torture your souls with the darkest tunes in a long time!

Catch this special “doc opera” at a theater or venue near you! Super Duper Alice Cooper will screen in over 250 U.S. cinemas and venues following the premiere (see below for a full listing). A special pre-recorded “Keep Calm & Just Ask Alice” Q&A and welcome from Alice will be included exclusively with each screening.

Super Duper Alice Cooper is the first ever ‘doc opera' – a dizzying blend of documentary archive footage, animation and rock opera that will cement forever the legend of ALICE COOPER.  The film is the twisted tale of a teenage Dr. Jekyll whose rock n' roll Mr. Hyde almost kills him. It is the story of Vincent Furnier, a preacher's son who struck fear into the hearts of parents as ALICE COOPER, the ultimate rock star of the bizarre. From the advent of Alice as front man for a group of Phoenix freaks in the 60's to the hazy decadence of celebrity in the 70s to his triumphant comeback as 80s glam metal godfather, we will watch as Alice and Vincent battle for each other's' souls. Alice's story is told not only by the man himself, but through exclusive interviews with members of the original ALICE COOPER band, Elton John, Iggy Pop, John Lydon, and Dee Snider. Super Duper Alice Cooper is the creation of Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn at Banger Films, producers of Iron Maiden: Flight 666 (2009 SXSW Audience Choice Winner) and Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage (2010 Grammy-nominated and Tribeca Audience Choice Winner), and much-lauded filmmaker Reginald Harkema, winner of the TIFF Special Jury Prize for his film Monkey Warfare
