In pure Coachella fashion, the biggest outdoor music festival released performance times for its more than 100 acts Tuesday evening, just days before the first weekend of the highly anticipated Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival set for April 11-13 at the Empire Polo Club fields.
On Friday, Outkast's reunion performance — the weekend's most anticipated act — is scheduled for 11:30 p.m. on the main Coachella Stage, while Anti-Flag is expected to close out the night with a set that starts at midnight at Gobi.
On Saturday, Muse is slated to shutdown the Coachella Stage with a set that starts at 11:30 p.m., while Nas hits the Outdoor Theatre at midnight.
On the other side of the field Saturday, fans will also have to also choose between Skrillex at 11:25 p.m. at the Sahara tent or Pet Shop Boys at Mojave at 11:35 p.m.
Lastly, Beck is expected to warm up the Coachella Stage on Sunday with a set at 8:55 p.m. for fellow festival veterans Arcade Fire, who are slated to perform at 10:20 p.m., while Lana Del Rey begins at 8:15 p.m. to help the Outdoor Theatre get ready for its last performer, Disclosure, at 9:35 p.m.
Some new additions were also added to the lineup, including former Coachella fest performer Julian Casablancas, best known as the front man for The Strokes, and Pixies. The set times for those acts are 5:05 p.m. and 8:50 p.m., respectively, on Saturday with both to grace the stage at the Mojave tent.
Set times are the expected to be the same for the second weekend of the festival April 18-20, barring any last minute cancellations or changes made by Goldenvoice, the producer of the mega music celebration — but as many fans know, Coachella loves to pack surprises.
But the newly released set list is a helpful tool for all those revving to head to the desert this weekend, so ready ... set .... get planning!
