Located in the heart of Santa Monica Boulevard's Boystown, Micky's is generally—and unsurprisingly—awash in drunk, shirtless boys who like boys. But on Monday nights, all those wavering eyes turn toward the stage for one of LA's best (and best-kept secret) drag shows.

Sure, the drag queens are of the lip-synching variety, and the whole production is very, um, budget-friendly. But we like our drag as tacky as possible, thanks. The variety and enthusiasm of the performers is contagious—our fave once nailed Cher, Celine Dion and Marilyn Manson duties with aplomb all in one night. (On second thought, it's odd how similar the three actually look to each other, but never mind.) The crowd at one recent show was beside itself after a boob-bouncing rendition of "All That Jazz," but the program can get decidedly more eclectic and/or shocking (we've seen more than one on-stage birth). Highlights of the past include the creepiest imaginable rendition of Patsy Cline's "Crazy," a trigger-happy Julie Andrews doing "The Sound of Music" and a full-on drag snake (!) writhing through Paula Abdul's modern-day masterpiece, "Cold-Hearted." Non-Mondays, for the most part, remain fairly circuit party-esque, but there are usually drink specials, cover bargains and go-go boys for those so inclined. Check the website for by-the-day details. The photo galleries will tell you all you need to know.—Lonny Pugh
