The colorful and dimly lit interior is very Quentin Tarantino-esque, with its mix of American pop and Mexican underground cultures.

This club is the first collaboration between owners Sydni Perdew, Ava Berman and Big Daddy Carlos, longtime LA scenesters who have been involved in a number of LA's most notorious clubs. Berman has been part-owner of such establishments as Prince's Glam Slam, Dragonfly, the Garage, and Union; Big Daddy Carlos is a well-known DJ and promoter. All those bold-faced names translate into a kitschy-but-knowing addition to the we're-over-it-but-here-anyway Cahuenga Corridor set. Black-and-white Mexican cult films play behind the bar, which blends fresh pineapple margaritas. The blacklight pictures of Frank Sinatra and Elvis—as well as the sombreros nailed to the ceiling and pesos pasted to the floor—add some fun. The lunch and dinner menus consist of cantina classics that are authentic but calorie-conscious. After all, it's all fun and games until a hipster grows out of his Diesels.—Patrick Green

I love the velvet margarita. For not really liking mexican food, I can say it is the best. Beautiful decor. Also, owned by the best people ever. I'm proud to call them my aunt and uncle. No joke, they really are. They are expanding in many ways
