Owners Chris Breed, Alan Hajjar, George Nahas and Eric James Virgets turned their Sunset Room into a Mediterranean-style getaway for celebs who can't be bothered to board their private jet and really get away.

Located behind Amoeba Music, Cabana Club feels miles away from the traffic jams and punk kids eating from street stands outside. The hidden-oasis patio conjures a beach vacation with palm trees, cabanas, waterfalls and a shallow pool. Club goers sit on oversize couches next to tiled European-style tables, where even the outdoor air feels ocean-fresh. (How did they do that?) Inside, the gold and brown palette is equally luxurious. Like Breed's other nightclub White Lotus, which has since closed, Cabana revives the Hollywood glamor that he set out to encapsulate when he moved from London, via New York, in the '90s. Lest we forget, East Hollywood was a very scary 'hood before he hit the scene.—Alexandra Le Tellier
