This tri-level restaurant and bar fulfills modern-day urban cowboy and cowgirl fantasies.

Huge barn-style doors open into the restaurant's large main room, also home to the popular mechanical bull. Deep red walls, warm cherry wood floors and rustic curlicue chandeliers accentuate the country feel, but it's the shiny chrome vats of beer, brewed on site, that dominate the space. A staircase leads to another bar upstairs and two patios, including one with ocean views. Top-quality steaks are the highlight of the menu, although the seafood and chicken are also delicious. Thursday-night bull-riding contests entice competitive city slickers to fight for the spotlight while the crowd cheers them on. A good-looking younger crowd fills up the rooms on the weekends—they'd rather fork over the cover than wait in the long lines at the bars on the pier two blocks down.—Sarah Spada
