There's something happening to Old Town Pasadena. It's becoming more and more like a Westside neighborhood—dare we say hip?—thanks in part to this new lounge attached to the popular tapas restaurant Bar Celona.

Littered with spots like the Freddie's 35er, Lucky Baldwin's and (sigh) Hooters, Colorado Boulevard wasn't known as a swank spot for cocktails until this Lounge came along. The colorful spot is one of the largest in the area, with a sleek, long bar and a back area that has a large-screen TV and stadium seating. Passerbys can allows see the action (and the crowd) from the street, so they know what to expect: usually a chill scene and always rockin' sangria. On Wednesdays and Thursdays there's live Flamenco music, and a DJ spins on the weekends. Happy hour (weekdays 4pm-6pm) offers $5 food and drink specials. —Lesley Balla
