We've danced under crystal chandeliers, indulged in champagne specials and partied in VIP lounges packed with celebs. But this luxe nightclub, decked out like an English manor, raises the stakes; we're sure the Hollywood nightlife scene will never be the same.

Owner Peter Famulari, who turned SkyBar into a Sunset Strip legend, calls Boulevard3 a "counterclub" combining aspects of NYC's Studio 54 and LA's house parties. It is glamorous, exclusive and edgy, but it's also homey and inviting. Past the iron gates is a courtyard with cozy white cabanas and two reflective pools, one with a fire pit hovering just above the water. On a chilly fall night, we warmed up around the marble fireplace inside the "library"; around us, a stylish bunch sat at mahogany tables laughing over drinks. In the next room, a stunning dance floor is situated where the legendary Hollywood Athletic Club pool used to be. Then, John Barrymore went for a swim; now, Paris Hilton and Wentworth Miller get their groove on. The "balcony suites" overlooking the dance floor are like skyboxes: You have to own one, or know someone who does, to get access. Each suite has a mini-bar stocked to the owner's liking, a large plasma-screen TV, an Xbox 360 and a wireless PC tablet that allows communication between guests, the door person, the bar and the concierge, who'll arrange doughnut delivery or a transcontinental flight. Unlike most clubs, where different promoters and DJs drive the scene from night to night, Famulari handles it all in-house. That means, brave reader, there is no “easy” night to get in, but that doesn’t mean we’re not telling you to try. —Alexandra Le Tellier
