But when the itch for his own place finally needed to be scratched, he took over this tiny, unpretentious local bar and grill. The menu features Spanish-style tapas and bar food like soft-shell crabs (seasonal) and spicy lamb skewers. The burger is legendary: dry-aged NY chuck and sirloin, arugula, warm applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onion compote, gruyere and Maytag blue cheese on a French roll. All this and no time cards!
