Low-key hipsters file into this dark, no-nonsense supper club for intimate music and comedy shows with big-name stars.

Across the street from Canter’s Deli, and on the same block as late-night pizza fave Damiano's, Largo's dark, moody supper club is a great place to see LA’s best young comics try out new material. One part music venue, one part comedy club, one part Italian restaurant, Largo has made itself a home away from home for local comedy heroes Paul F. Tompkins, Sarah Silverman and Patton Oswalt. Live music is usually of the stripped down, acoustic variety, with artists like Beck, Aimee Mann, Emmylou Harris, Jon Brion and Fiona Apple. Want the best of both worlds? Check out Zack Galifianakis performing his amazingly odd piano-noodling/comedy routine. Since Largo doesn't offer advance tickets for any performances, the best way to guarantee entrance is to make a dinner reservation, which comes with a $15 food minimum per person. —Amir Kenan
