It's hard to tell which is better looking at this bar inside the revamped Sofitel Hotel: the group of waitresses clad in cleavage-revealing black dresses or the model/actor/publicist/whatevers who hang out here.

Nightlife entrepreneur Rande Gerber, who also owns the Whiskey Blue at the W Hotel in Westwood, is a master at luring in glamorous and trendy crowds. The venue could very well have become a pretentious playpen, but the decor is so comfortable people actually let their guard down. There's an intimate vibe, especially earlier in the evening when people sit at the large u-shaped bar or lounge on the burnt orange-colored velvet couches. Those looking to heat things up head to the patio's cabanas and fire pit. The music is turned up at 11pm on weekends; there isn't a dance floor, people make do with whatever space they can find.
