Normally, when Hollywood actors and producers get together, they aim for a cool $100 mil at the box office. But showbiz duo Beau Flynn and Andy Fiscella, who moonlight as bar owners, seem perfectly content with The Dime.

Located in the Fairfax district, the dive bar formerly known as Max's was transformed by Flynn and Fiscella into a New York-style speakeasy with smoky mirrors, dark red décor and candle lighting. Though it's not a blockbuster smash, it's got all the makings of a Hollywood classic. On weekdays, it's a low-key neighborhood hangout that attracts its share of Industry types: Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, Ron Livingston, Travis Barker and assorted members of "The OC" stop by for cocktails and jazzed-up bar snacks. Occasionally it's home to hot celeb gossip; one night Lindsay Lohan allegedly feuded with Jessica Simpson over director Brett Ratner. On the weekends, however, the small spot packs up quickly with locals seemingly hell-bent on getting plastered.—Alexandra Le Tellier
