The attitude at Gabah is not the bling-bling and libidinous pop worship that's found at so many other hip-hop clubs. People from all different backgrounds come to dance at this dark club in a gritty part of East Hollywood for one simple reason: they want to move to the latest hip-hop and R&B. No wonder down-to-earth artists like the Black Eyed Peas occasionally drop by unannounced to entertain.—Virgina Melin
