Finally, the weekend warriors are gone. Party sans amateurs at your fave dives, lounges, or velvet roped hotspots - or all of the above to start the week out right.

Please note: Promoters are sometimes flaky and cancel events at the last minute, or take a week off, or disappear without warning. Clubbers are advised to call the venue before heading out.

1.

Get Bent at The Bar

Hipster DJ Sean Patrick spins rock, punk and '80s at this hidden hangout.

2.

Funkmosphere at Carbon

This neighborhood Culvery City hideout gets a funk infusion provided by Dam-Funk every Monday.

9.

Check One...Two at The Viper Room

Indie 103.1 and Flaunt magazine's weekly residency is known for establishing tomorrow’s next big music things. (Don't forget: The magazine gets credit for discovering Franz Ferdinand.)

10.

Showgirls at Micky's

This WeHo hotspot hosts one of LA's best (and best-kept secret) drag shows. The queens are of the lip-synching variety and the whole production is very, um, budget-friendly. Drink specials: Margaritas, Mai Tais and 16-ounce beers are $2 each.

11.

Rock 'n Roll Karaoke at Bigfoot Lodge

Doors open at 5pm for happy hour, but the real rocking doesn't begin until 10pm. There's also Kamikaze day on the last Monday of the month where those who sign up must sing what the bar has chosen for them. Bravery is rewarded with $3 kamikaze shots.

12.

Mondays at The Mint

The Groove Pocket does its best to re-create an NYC-style jazz club with the Kevin Kanner Quintet playing live jazz, and Dj Hoe1Fat spinning funk, soul and hip-hop. Admission is free, and wine, beer and well drinks are two-for-one from 9pm-10pm.

13.

Wumpskate at World on Wheels

This cringe-tastic all-ages gothic and industrial roller skating party goes down every second Monday of the month.

14.

Monday Night Jammmz at The Baked Potato

John Ziegler's weekly jam session brings in studio players, touring band members and famous musicians like Tool's Danny Carey. Each session is unpredictable; be it jazz or blues or rock, it leaves fans like Eddie Van Halen happy.

if you really want to know what events are happening (and ones that are updated) just find a copy of The Onion. Seriously, every single club event worth going to and DJ worth seeing is listed in there every week.
