The long-running dance night has evolved from a struggling Britpop bash to a slammin' indie-rock dancefest brimming with Strokes look-alikes and the waifs who love them.

When the gals behind the '60's gathering known as Caf Bleu joined forces with dudes from the similarly retro Shout! for this Saturday night gathering, the playlist was a mesh of old soul, British rock and a sprinkling of new stuff. Then they modernized the music, and the media-hyped "rock is back" buzz hit full-fervor. Now you're lucky if you can get in before this 18-and-up club hits capacity. Skinny ties, Converse All-Stars and ironic old concert tees—not to mention lots of messy hair—is the uniform here, while the age average falls between a nubile 19 to 24. Despite the club's suggestive name, not to mention all the raging-hormoned hipsters, there's actually way more dancing than hooking up.—Lina Lecaro
