This deep house club night from the Bud Brothers (Mick Cole and Freddy Be) is an institution.

What started out in 1996 as a low-key, underground hang for electronic-music enthusiasts at the now-defunct Louis XIV restaurant has turned into one of the longest-running club nights in LA's fickle nightlife scene. It's survived because its unique blend of sociability, hassle-free vibe and great house music. The Bud Brothers pull double duty as resident DJs, but also bring in world-renowned talent like the Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Layo and Bushwacka, Steve Lawler and Lee Burridge. Nacional is the perfect backdrop for grown-up club kids to pass their glow-stick torches to a new generation of baggy-clothes-wearing beat junkies.—Patrick Green
