DMK: The Choreographer's Ball

On February 22, 2006

What a feeling

Once a month, a powerful reason to break that no-Sunset-Strip-ever rule struts into the Key Club. At Carnival, the nation's top choreographers unleash a dance show comprised of their most innovative moves. You can do it, put your back into it.

Often hosted by Debbie Allen and Wade Robson (the former a winner at both the Golden Globes and the Emmys, the latter the host of MTV's "The Wade Robson Project"), the evening includes performances full of back-busting moves by 120 dancers. They perform hip-hop, modern and much, much more—all conjured from the imaginations of choreographers like Brian Friedman (who's choreographed many a Britney Spears hip jut), Cris Judd (J. Lo's former choreographer and flame), Michael Rooney (Kylie Minogue), and Dave Scott (B2K). The always-sold-out show is so successful that sister incarnations have sprung up in New York and London.—Lonny Pugh
