Porn Star Karaoke is Burbank’s dirty little secret, a weekly karaoke fest at a small strip-mall bar catering to that other LA film industry.

On most nights, Sardo's is a typical neighborhood bar and grill, dishing out patty melts and jalapeno poppers to the local Burbank crowd. But things take a turn toward the triple-X at Porn Star Karaoke, the one day each week (Tuesday, arguably the sexiest day of the week) when Sardo's opens its doors to the adult-film world, members of whom come here ready to let loose after a tough day under klieg lights at the office. Since the majority of patrons at Porn Star Karaoke either engage in or choreograph sex for a living, some of the musical performances can get a bit risque. Still, there's a generally friendly vibe at this intimate, unpretentious venue tucked between a Vons grocery store and an all-night donut shop. Sardo's boasts a new, expanded songbook that holds over 37,000 songs, including kids' tunes like Aladdin's "A Whole New World" —though with a porn star at the mic, lyrics like "On a magic carpet ride" and "Over, sideways and under" take on a whole new meaning.
