Everything about Parc is exquisite. Chef J’s French-Asian menu is delicious, sommelier Lesle Gibson’s wine list is superb, Tracie Butler's park-inspired décor is stunning; and the lounge atmosphere that Pantera Sarah creates has the perfect balance of laid-back ease and Hollywood glamour. It’s all the brainchild of Shereen Arazm (Shag, The Dolce Group), a petite brunette who proves that women can pack a powerful punch in this biz dominated by men.

In the evening, Parc is a full-on restaurant filled with couples feeling romantic, fun groups of girls and celebs like Scarlett Johansson and Tyra Banks sharing dishes from the small-plates menu. The seared scallops are succulent, the grilled beef is juicy, the beet salad is inventive and the fried Japanese eggplant towers are the most worth-it kind of fattening. At around 10:30pm, the lighting dims and the jazz tunes are replaced by top 40. The tables moved out of the dining room are replaced by chic fashionistas, Industry dudes and more big names including Paris Hilton, Justin Timberlake, Adam Brody, Ashlee Simpson and Ryan Phillippe. Butler's goal was to create a conceptual interpretation of a real-life park: Though it's a modern space with ornate regency-style furniture, she outfitted the place with organic elements (grass cloth, walnut wood) and abstract paintings of tree bark and rivers. The point is driven home with the 65-year-old, 14-foot tree inside the dining area, from which she hung Swarovski crystal globes that look like beehives. The only negative thing we can say about Parc is that it isn't open 24 hours a day, 'cause if it were, we might never leave. —Alexandra Le Tellier
