Named for the year its mother hotel opened, Bar Nineteen12 resides in the former tea lounge with a hipper outlook on hotel nightlife, while maintaining an ultra-swanky factor worthy of its regal location. Thankfully, the décor is a sleek departure from the Golden Girls-inspired lobby: Overlooking the pool and cabanas, the bar's wood paneling, earth-toned interior and outdoor rattan patio furniture make even the non-hotel guests feel like they're lounging on an exotic resort holiday. In true Beverly Hills Hotel fashion, the staff is not only pretty to look at, they're accommodating and eager to please. While industry suits talk shop over classic martinis and cocktails like our fave, the American Rose, young socialites indulge in progressive concoctions like the bar's claim-to-fame jelly-shot sampler, which brings bite-sized gelatin shots served atop a clear plate illuminated by ice and white lights.
