Downtown Long Beach gets a shot of cool with Cheapshot's, a new bar/lounge that provides a touch of class among the megaclubs and dive bars.

Before it even opened, Cheapshot's was destined for coolness—co-owner Colton "Cheapshot" Fisher was already a well-respected DJ (for LA groups Styles of Beyond and Fort Minor), music producer (for Linkin Park and the Beastie Boys) and the founder of a record label (SpyTech Records). A partnership with his brother Jordan has produced a 2,200-square-foot space that's part swanky, candlelit lounge and part sports bar. The deep ruby interior and sleek leather seating will please ladies who don't want to drive all the way to LA for a classy night; the flat-screens and extensive beer selection will appease the gents. Sunday is Service Industry night, which welcomes bartenders and cocktail servers. Monday serves up beer flights and Tuesday serves up a free well or draft to anyone who is friends with Fisher on MySpace.
