SBE’s addiction to reinvention manifests itself in Foxtail, Hollywood’s newest impossible-to-get-into celebulounge.

Sandwiched in between Dan Tana’s and The Troubadour, Foxtail occupies the former Lobby Supper Club space.  Though SBE has separated the Supper from the Club and split Foxtail into two separate entities, the two entities share custody of an amazingly charming space that evokes old Hollywood glamour with its intimate, Art Deco inspired interior.  The ornate space took its name from SBE’s Chief Creative Officer, Theresa Fatino who was “looking for something sassy, sexy and decadent and Foxtail seemed to embody all those things.” 

Foxtail was born out of the friendship between SBE and their A-list industry partners (director Brett Ratner, NBC Co-Chairman Ben Silverman, Hollywood producer Scott Stuber, and Endeavor’s Patrick Whitesell), who had a “shared desire to have a local place they could call home and go to for drinks and dinner with their friends.”  The dark wood walls and stained glass partitions downstairs create an elegantly seductive environment that is conducive to all the schmooze-heavy wheeling & dealing that goes on there.

While anyone can make reservations and dine on the Euro/French fare downstairs (where the kitchen is run by Bravo’s Top Chef contestant, Antonia Lofaso), the club upstairs is reserved for A-list and above.  Though smaller than S Bar, one of  the smaller SBE venues, the upstairs lounge does not skimp on luxury—that same glamorous 1920s vibe continues upstairs to the lounge and the intimate, pale green smoking patio.  Partygoers lucky enough to enjoy cocktails in this exclusive lounge will enjoy them on the marble topped bar made of painted millwork with inlayed mirror.  The dark and cozy space is perfect for grabbing drinks and lounging with a group of unbelievably good-looking actress/models or writer/directors or…you get the idea. 

Adhering to the adage that less is more, SBE’s nightlife destinations have become less mega-clubish and more design oriented, resulting in a collection of bars and clubs that are nothing short of overwhelmingly charming.  SBE’s focus on detail in design results in the opening of a venue that does not just look good, but feels good…if you can get in. – Stephanie Ocampo
