Though the focus has shifted from sophisticated grazing to dancing and star-gazing, Les Deux has retained more than its old name under new Dolce Group ownership. With what they call a "revitalizing face-lift" and some powerful promoters on board, this indoor/outdoor club is back on the hotspot list.

When original owner Michele Lamy ruled here, the stars came for fine wine, pricey cuisine, and yes, to be seen. Now it's sexed up: Supple black leather sofas line the open patio for bottle service, soft candelabra lamp lighting makes everyone look fab and a charming balcony overlooks all the outdoor action. The menu is Italian now, instead of French, and there's a big emphasis on desserts like cupcakes. The changes to the space itself (made by Dolce Group honcho Lonnie Moore, and pals Sylvain Bitton and Mike "Big Brother" Malin) might be subtle, but so far the celeb factor is anything but. Credit must be given to party superpowers The Alliance, who attract glam gals like the Hiltons and the Olsens on Friday nights. The Parisian palace usually offers two DJs—one spinning a rockin' soundtrack outdoors, the other pumping out Top 40 and hip-hop grooves for the intimate indoor dance floor. It's such a seductive atmosphere, those actually able to get in will find it hard to bid this Deux au revoir. —Lina Lecaro
