Ever wonder what happens to reality TV stars when they’re not competing in Real World/Road Rules Challenge 156? Head to Santa Monica for the answer…they open sports bars.

Formerly Cinch, a Wilshire supperclub where Westside professionals could unbutton their collars and loosen their tight – umm – ties, The Parlor has toned down the Cinch swankiness to secure the savvy sportsmen set.  Though to their credit, owners Silas Gaither (of Survivor: Africa) and his partner Ike Pyun have set the bar on sports bars and created the city’s swankiest den of professional sports-watching.  Real Worlders Trishelle (RW Vegas), Johanna (Austin), and Wes (Austin) are also investors.  The bi-level super bar borderlines being called an ultralounge with its comfy couches and the sleek rock wall framing the space (a Cinch remnant) until the army of plasma screens and sports memorabilia remind bar-hoppers that they are, in fact, in THE Westside haven for all manly men.     

Don’t expect just the usual fried-everything fare on The Parlor’s menu.  Along with munchie staples like hot wings and beer battered onion rings, the menu also includes an herb marinated shrimp cocktail, a grilled panini, and a seared tuna sandwich.  Monday Night Football draws in a massive crowd on Mondays; Tuesdays are karaoke night; and on Sundays, not only is it Slider Sunday, a piano man will sing along with the crowd from 9pm-closing.
