From the ashes of Lush and Club 2020, V Lounge finally makes the trek to the Westside worthwhile.

Outside the V Lounge are two lines: one for guest list and one for bottle service.  Partygoers need not be discouraged, most people get in after the obligatory make-them-stand-in-line-so-the-place-looks-cool wait. Like the door policy, the dress code is lax: the hip younger 20’s set come dressed for comfort in flip-flops, T-shirts and yes, boys can rock their favorite hoodies.  V Lounge has cleaned up nice since its days as Lush and now features a sleek look with booths and benches upholstered in white or black leather.  Ball-bearing curtains grace the dark walls and  the club is surprisingly well-lit. Benches circling the sunken dance floor provide prime people-watching/ridiculing spots as DJs spin a mix of Top 40, R&B and hip-pop. A small room in the back can provide a safe haven from the guy who thinks spastic, jerky jumping is a dance form on the main floor. Bad dancers aside, V Lounge is the perfect place to pick up that campus cutie you've been eyeing. – Jammie Salagubang
