Unless you’re Jeremy Scott himself or know someone who knows someone, you better spend the better part of the evening getting prepped and preened to make nice with the door guy at The Room for its Thursday-night party, Pash!.

Previously headquartered at Vine, Pash! at The Room has been successfully revived after a few-year hiatus by promoter David Heath (Fridays at Teddy's), DJ Myles Hendrik and The Cobrasnake himself, Mark Hunter. The crowd is reminiscent of the glory days of the Cahuenga Corridor when doing the crawl you could find the well-connected natives and their coterie of impeccably disheveled friends who are now stationed at Teddy's.  But it seems everyone is coming back to Pash! — perhaps for nostalgia, perhaps for the music or perhaps just because this is the best new/old place to show off your coif, digs and dance moves.

Somehow the second time around is better, both for the party and the bar. The Room, made famous in "Swingers," is now twice the size (and still money, baby). The cleaned-up, but dive-esque interior has new, much-needed seating, and a well-situated dance floor.  Smokers recline in the cushioned outdoor smoking patio where the original, infamous back-alley entrance is sealed off but still visible.  Still exceptionally dark inside — perfect for partying, bad for people watching  — it’s a misfortune because all the twentysomethings at Pash! are painfully beautiful to look at.  Never fear, you can happily (and soberly) survey everyone the next day on www.thecobrasnake.com, so you won't miss a thing. — Alexis Johnson
