Hollywood powerhouse promoter Brad Hoss (co-owner of Play) hosts this Sunday night soiree where his signature Hollywood crowd co-exists with the hipster crowd that dominates L.A. party scene.

Plus, Play’s Sunday night shindig, is fashionably hip and unapologetically scene-y.  The venue’s narrow, long bar and the mini outdoor patio is sprinkled with hipster kids vying for the attention of Shadowscene’s camera.  The tiny dancefloor allows for enough wiggle room to dance (read: head-nod and pose) to the eclectic electro mash-ups of DJ’s Mr. White and Devin Lucien. The photo shoot set up by Still Life Photography rivals Jiro’s set up at PYT.  Plus’ plus?  The stripper pole.  Scenesters model their ensemble, showcase their stripper pole skills (or lack there of), and pose to re-up on their myspace/facebook pics.

Although the name often changes (it was called the “Britney Spears Mimosa” when we were there), the 4-dollar price tag on the night’s special drink - mimosas - remains the same. As parking is impossible in this Hollywood prime spot, give in and opt for the $6 valet.  – Josephine Vu
