The jewel of Exposition Park has been the chosen spot for brides for almost 100 years.

Opened as a public park in 1913, it was dedicated to rose gardens in 1926—and almost turned into a parking lot in the late '80s. Flower power ruled, thankfully, and Claritin-toting Angelenos have been sniffing ever since. April brings the Blooming of the Roses festival, which features pruning and care workshops as well as activities for kids. The petal-filled park is closed from New Year's Day until March 15.
