The Veterans Memorial Park is an outdoor complex with an auditorium and rose garden honoring the mothers who have lost sons to war. The auditorium, built in 1950, has a swooping concrete entrance and a large monument adorned with plaques that pay tribute to Culver City and 100 years of Olympic marathon winners. The Auditorium is home to gymnastic events, body building competitions, plant shows, antique shows, community events and plays and West Los Angeles College basketball games.
