This water park offers far more wet fun for the family than that Slip 'N Slide in the backyard.

With more than 40 rides, the park pleases everyone from little Billy, who is afraid of waves, to Susie, who is training to become a junior lifeguard. There are several slides including the Liquidator, on which riders start atop a seven-story tower; inner-tube rides like River Rapids, which imitates a 500-foot-long white-water-rafting trip; two wave pools (Hurricane Harbor, for strong swimmers that want to bodysurf, and Monsoon Lagoon for inner-tube lovers); and cabanas for lounging. Then there are rides that just aim to make visitors feel dizzy, like Bazooka Bowls, which is sort of like being flushed down a toilet, but in a good way. The park duplicates its most popular rides for waterwing-level swimmers in the Pygmy Pond area that has Kiddie Bombay, Typhoon Lagoon and Mat-O-Rama. The park has several snack areas with pizza, hamburgers, fries, funnel cakes and the like. Outside food is not allowed in the park, but there are picnic areas near the park's entrance for those who want to bring coolers and return them to the SUV. —Mai Dinh
