Most drivers speeding down Wilshire Boulevard between the Westwood office skyscrapers and high-rise condos have no idea they are passing a true cemetery of the stars.

Marilyn and Natalie are in good company in this little oasis of calm off one of the busiest streets in LA. Burt Lancaster, Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Donna Reed, Truman Capote, Eve Arden, Peggy Lee, Dean Martin and Roy Orbison are just some of the bright Hollywood lights who have faded away to spend eternity at Pierce Bros. The mausoleum is usually the first stop on self-guided cemetery tours for those who want to catch a glimpse of Marilyn Monroe's final resting place; Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner has reserved the space next to hers. But save time to check out Mel Torme's bright red grave, one of the largest on the lot.
