Built for the 1932 Summer Olympic Games, the Grand Oly has seen everyone from Jack Dempsey to Rage Against the Machine.

This arena, built in 1925 (then known as the Olympic Auditorium), has hosted many legendary fighters, including Oscar De La Hoya, who won his first world championship here in 1994. The title bouts from Million Dollar Baby were staged at the 7,000-seat venue, which boasts an on-site boxing gym for filming. How convenient. Besides hosting boxing, wrestling, and roller derby events, the auditorium also serves as a music venue. Rage Against the Machine played their "farewell" show at the Grand Olympic back in 2000—in 2007 the band announced that they would reunite for the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, but don't tell the Grand Oly that. —Elisa Jacobs
