This flowering 537-acre meadow, perched on the bluffs above Malibu, offers picnic areas, eight miles of hiking trails and a nature center. Go ahead, hug a tree.

The Botany Trail in this park is an exhilarating journey through sage, soaring oak trees and a brilliant variety of wildflowers. The three-mile hike is best appreciated during March, April and May, but the stunning views of the Pacific are a joy any time of year. The Nature Center provides a display of native Chumash Indian history as well as information about foliage throughout the park. And since no one should go it alone, Charmlee offers group excursions. In addition to the full moon and twilight hikes (which take place once a month), there are bug nights, wildflower hikes and astronomy nights.
