Is there any other field in the country that has been shared by Olympic athletes, NFL and college gridiron warriors, a Pope and The Boss?

There may not be a more historic stadium in the country. A federal landmark, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was the site of the 1932 and 1984 Olympics. Over the years, the Coliseum has hosted two Super Bowls (I and VII), one World Series (1959), a president (Kennedy) and a Pope (John Paul II). It was the one-time home of the NFL's Rams and Raiders and UCLA football and hosted other major sporting events from World Cup soccer to X-Games motocross. It is also the site of some of the highest-grossing concerts in history, including The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and U2. For the past 83 years, the Coliseum has been the home football field for the Trojans of USC, its neighbor across the street. —Dan Wool
